Before the organization Coast Education started, two sisters named Gogo and Fatma whom were raised in a poor background in the village. Due to the challenge they went through it lead them to support each other and come up with a idea of helping the needy.

They started by donating some materials like books, pens and even feeding programs in their local schools.

At that time the number of the children they supported was small but the needs arised each and every day.

In 2016 Victor travelled from Finland to Kenya to marry Gogo.

The journey of getting married in Kenya turned into a dream of helping the needy children.

On our travelling around Kenya we found out that early marriages, sexual harrasment, inadequate teachers and learning materials are among the factors that affect girls eduaction. Others include childhood pregnancies, child labour, and retrogressive cultural practices. It was also discerned awareness on importances of education through mentoring, provision of adequate learning materials and facilities and schools feeding programs that would greatly improve on the retention of the girl and boy child in school.

Main barriers to education:

- Poverty

- Insecurity

- Gender discrimination

- Drug abuse

- Early pregancy and marriage

In 2019 Fatma, Gogo and Victor founded Coast Education and operated legally by the assistance of Boris.
